Joining established judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl was former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell – who is stepping in for popular judge Dannii Minogue while she prepares to give birth to her first child.

Hoping to make a stylish impression on first day of the seventh series, Cole teamed her Pink Label for Charlotte Olympia dress, £325, with a £1,035 pair of Christian Louboutin lizard and python platform sandals.

While the 26-year-old arrived in Scotland today, judges Cowell, Walsh and Halliwell spent the night in the prestigious five star Hotel Du Vin.
